Opening Hours

Winter:
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
Monday to Friday.

Summer:
July and September 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.,
Monday to Friday.

August - closed.

Changes in opening hours are posted on the bulletin board.

Consultation

Catalogue:
On-line catalogue only.

Multimedia materials:
every day from 9:00 to 1:00 a.m.,
and Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Norms for use

Clients may get volumes from the shelves. When finished consulting a book, it should be placed on the desk or reserve desk. DO NOT REPLACE BOOKS ON THE SHELF. STAFF WILL REPLACE THEM.

Volumes in the depository may be requested every day from 9:00 a.m. to1:00 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Volumes may also be requested for the following day by e-mail (pro@pro.urbe.it).

Photocopies

Are made by the clients themselves only during library hours.
The norms of the library and Italian law concerning the copying of copyrighted material are to be observed. These are posted next to the photocopy machine.

Loan and Interlibrary Loan

Loans are not made.

Document delivery

Only upon request of other Libraries and according to Italian law concerning copyright protection will copies and delivery of documents be provided.

Reservation of volumes

Clients may keep on reserve volumes for use until Friday afternoon. To extend this period, please advise the staff.

The Staff is available to answer questions and assist you when needed.

	CLIENTS

General Topics

Library is open to all upon filling out a registration form. Clients must purchase a magnetic photocopy card. Cards are individual, non-transferable and serve as one’s admission card to the Library.

Registration will be renewed at the beginning of every academic year.

Bags and briefcases must be deposited in the wardrobe found in the reference room. It is possible to use one's own PC.

Clients are asked to observe silence in the Reading Rooms and to turn off their cell phones. If necessary, these may be used in the corridor to avoid disturbing other clients.

Smoking, eating and drinking is not allowed in the Library.
